Background
XLRI Leadership Education and Development (XLEAD), the executive education arm of XLRI – Xavier School of Management, has entered into a strategic partnership with Dale Carnegie India to introduce leadership and behavioural skills programmes for management students, executives and working professionals across India.
The collaboration, formalised through a memorandum of understanding, will combine XLRI’s academic expertise with Dale Carnegie India’s experience in leadership and people-skills training. The partners will jointly design programmes that focus on communication, executive presence, business storytelling, coaching, influencing, persuasion, presentation skills and public speaking. The courses will be available through classroom, online and blended learning formats and will include industry-recognised certifications.
The initiative wants to take on the rising demand for people oriented skills ,as organisations are moving more and more towards artificial intelligence and automation. The partners think that while technology takes care of mundane and analytical tasks, traits like good judgment, trust, communication, and leadership have grown more important.
XLRI Director Fr. Sebastian George said the institute believes education should build both competence and character. He added that the partnership would help students strengthen communication, empathy and leadership skills needed in today’s workplace.
Dale Carnegie India Chairperson and Managing Director Pallavi Jha said the collaboration reflects the organisation’s commitment to helping professionals unlock their leadership potential. She pointed out that in the upcoming years, leadership skills and excellent behaviour will be important factors in job advancement.
The partnership aims to create professionals who combine technical knowledge with strong people skills, helping organisations build better leaders and improve business performance through stronger communication, decision-making and execution.
