Key Background

CUET UG 2025 by National Testing Agency (NTA) is a unified entrance examination for undergraduate courses in more than 250 Indian central, state, and private universities. Delhi University, BHU, and JNU recruit students for undergraduate courses based on CUET scores. The examination has been held this year from 13th May to 4th June, 2025, by a record number of students with over 13.4 lakh registration, hence one of the biggest entrance exams of the nation.

Test mode trend was pen-and-paper mode and computer-based test (CBT) mode to address logistic and geographical requirements. Test was 13-language based with subject-specific content and general aptitude papers to ensure an even playing field for students of all boards.

NTA published the final answer key on July 1 after due examination of students’ objections. Remarkably, 27 challenged questions were equated out and the candidates will receive full marks for such questions regardless of the effort. The normalization is done so that all test sessions are the same. NTA ensured no re-evaluation requests would be entertained and the results will be according to normalized raw scores to eliminate exam variation across shifts.

CUET UG result will be announced on July 4, and the scorecards can be checked by the students through their application number and date of birth. Cut-off lists of individual colleges and admissions separately will be made based on these scores. The candidates must download and keep their scorecards safely, and they will be valid only for session 2025–26.
