MVJ College of Engineering proudly celebrated its 38th Convocation Ceremony on 08-10-2025 in Dr M. V. Jayaraman Auditorium, marking nearly four decades of academic excellence and commitment to shaping future leaders. The grand event was conducted in two sessions to accommodate the large number of graduating students and to ensure a smooth and dignified celebration.
Forenoon Session
The ceremony began with a soulful invocation song by Team Dhwani, seeking the blessings of the Almighty for the auspicious event. Following this, the esteemed dignitaries, including the Chief Guest, Padma Bhushan Dr K. Radhakrishnan, Chairman, Sri M. J. Balachandar, Principal, Dr Ajayan K. R., Dean Administration, Dr M Brindha, and Dean Academics, Dr Srinivas L. Gombi, graced the occasion by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Dr Srinivas L. Gombi, Dean of Academics, delivered the welcome address and warmly welcomed the chief guest, dignitaries, faculty, students, and parents. Following this, the Principal, Dr Ajayan K. R., presented the College Report, highlighting the institution’s academic and extracurricular achievements, infrastructural advancements, and key milestones over the past year.

The Chief Guest, Padma Bhushan Dr K. Radhakrishnan, officially declared the Graduation Day open, marking the commencement of the convocation proceedings.
Dr M Brindha, Dean of Administration, introduced the Chief Guest with great reverence, outlining his remarkable contributions to India’s space programs and scientific community. In his Graduation Day Address, Dr Radhakrishnan inspired the graduands with his motivational speech, urging them to pursue excellence, uphold integrity, and contribute meaningfully to society. His words left a profound impact on the audience. To honour the presence and achievements of the Chief Guest, Dr Ajayan K. R., Principal, felicitated Dr K. Radhakrishnan with a token of gratitude on behalf of the institution.

Presentation of Graduate Details and Awards
Prof. Jeeva, Controller of Examinations (in charge), announced the graduate statistics and details. The Rank Holders were then invited to receive their certificates from the Chief Guest, recognising their outstanding academic performances.

This was followed by the distribution of graduation certificates to the students of the 2025 batch. The ceremony took place department-wise, with each Head of Department calling out the names of the graduands. Departments included:
- Aeronautical Engineering – Dr Vinu Kuriakose
- Aerospace Engineering – Dr Vinu Kuriakose
- Civil Engineering – Prof. Vidya Karmel
- Chemical Engineering – Prof. Megala S
- Electronics and Communication Engineering – Dr Shima Ramesh
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering – Dr Vijay Kulkarni
- Industrial IoT – Dr M. Thilagaraj
- Mechanical Engineering – Dr Santhosh Kumar
The Principal, Dr Ajayan K. R., administered the Graduation Pledge, urging students to uphold ethical values, commit to lifelong learning, and contribute to the betterment of humanity. The awardees stood and raised their right arms while taking the solemn oath. This was followed by the official conferment of degrees by the Principal.
Dr Salim A., Dean of Research, delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, faculty, staff, students, and parents for making the event a resounding success. The Principal, Dr Ajayan, then formally dissolved the Graduation Day Ceremony. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
Afternoon Session
The event commenced with an invocation song by Team Dhwani, invoking divine blessings for the success of the ceremony and the bright future of the graduates. This was followed by the Lamp Lighting Ceremony. The Chief Guest, Hon. Justice N Santosh Hegde, along with Chairman, Shri M J Balachandar, Principal, Dr Ajayan, Dr M. Brindha, Dean Administration, and Dr Anju Kulkarni, Director of Quality Assurance, ceremoniously lit the lamp.

Dr M. Brindha, Dean of Administration, warmly welcomed the gathering. Following this, Principal Dr Ajayan K. R. presented the College Report, highlighting the institution’s achievements, milestones, and academic progress during the past academic year.
The Chief Guest, Hon. Justice N Santosh Hegde, officially declared the Graduation Day open, marking the commencement of the convocation proceedings.
Dr Anju Kulkarni, Director of Quality Assurance, introduced the Chief Guest, outlining his remarkable contributions to the judiciary and public service.
In his Graduation Day Address, Justice Hegde delivered an insightful and inspiring speech, emphasising integrity, responsibility, and societal contribution. His words resonated deeply with the audience and left a lasting impression on the young graduates.
As a mark of respect and gratitude, the Principal, Dr Ajayan, felicitated Hon. Justice N Santosh Hegde with a token of appreciation.

- Computer Graphics (CG) & Data Science- Prof. Siva Sakthi
- Computer Science Engineering (CSE)- Prof. Rekha P.
Following the certificate distribution, the Principal, Dr Ajayan K. R., administered the Graduation Pledge, urging students to uphold ethical standards and serve society with sincerity and excellence. The Principal then conferred the degrees to all eligible graduates.
