Key Background :

Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will declare the SSC (Class 10) Result 2025 on Tuesday, May 13 at 1:00 PM. In 2025, over 16.11 lakh students appeared for the SSC exam, slightly higher than the 15.49 lakh students in 2024. Offline exams were conducted between February 21 and March 17, and practical exams between February 3 and February 20.

Their result can be accessed on official sites—mahresult.nic.in, mahahsscboard.in, and sscresult.mkcl.org. Students need to enter roll number and mother’s first name in order to check their results. Roll number and student’s date of birth and subject-wise marks will be presented in provisional mark sheet. Original mark sheets will be declared soon after the online declaration via schools.

In addition to online access, results will also be accessible via SMS and DigiLocker to ensure that students in all regions will easily access them. The preponement of the announcement, as distinct from last year’s results announcement on May 27, has been made with the aim of accelerating the Class 11 admission process without disrupting the academic calendar.

Historically, SSC 2024 results reported an impressive pass rate of 95.81%. Girls performed better than boys with a pass rate of 97.21%, while boys had 94.56%. Konkan division topped the state with highest pass percentage at 99.01%, while Nagpur topped the lowest with 94.73%.

For those who are dissatisfied, MSBSHSE provides the rechecking or verification of marks facility within two weeks from the result. Additionally, students who have failed or wish to perform better are also eligible to appear for supplementary exams, perhaps in July 2025. Details of application for supplementary exam will be announced by the board after declaring the main results.
