8.71 lakh students appeared for the supplementary exam in SSLC, out of which 8.17 lakh students cleared the exam. The Tamil Nadu Board has maintained the stand of not announcing individual toppers since 2018 to avoid unhealthy competition. There has been a focus on student performance in general and inclusion instead. The candidates who wish to verify their marks can also get scanned copies of their answer sheets from August 4 to August 5, 2025. Revaluation and re-totalling facilities are also available for candidates who wish to get a recheck.
The declaration of such results is an indicator of Tamil Nadu’s continuous effort to provide remedial opportunities to students and maintain the percentage of passes at its high level in board exams. Such students who failed to pass examinations can avail supplementary educational opportunities, vocational courses, or alternative courses of study.
